The deal so deep happens once in a few months. The today’s reason is clear: Amazon is celebrating National Reading Month 2019. The company has to offer something special after the deals on Kindle e-readers have ended (Paperwhite) or a stock has been emptied (the basic Kindle). Last time, Amazon offered the deal on Kindle memoirs and biographies in mid-November 2018.

The Tenth Island, written by a Pulitzer Prize–winning writer Diana Marcum, is an exuberant memoir of personal loss and longing, and finding connection on the remote Azores Islands. The book costs today $1.99 instead of $4.99.

Born Survivors by Wendy Holden is an extraordinary story of courage, defiance, and hope set during World War 2 in Nazi-occupied Eastern Europe. Having in mind that a regular price is set at $15.99, the today’s deal lets you save as much as 88%, as you can get the book for only $1.99.
