Imagine famous classic novels like Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe, reborn as cheap, pulp paperback books. And here they are!
We dug the thing further and discovered that it’s not just about the cover art.
There is a new imprint, called Pulp! The Classics. The series started with Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, and now includes sixteen titles. You’ll find here Wuthering Heights, Tess of the D’Urbervilles, A Christmas Carol, and The Picture of Dorian Gray.
The covers are cool not only because of the perfectly imitated design, funny context, and references to famous pop culture icons. The short descriptions are an extra source of delight.
For instance, the text on the cover of Frankenstein says: “This kid was born on the Wrong Side of the Lab…” The message for Tess of the D’Urbervilles is shorter, it goes: “She’s… No Angel.”
You can buy the books on Amazon, both in print and Kindle format.
